Ethiopia Trip

November 2019

Ethiopia holds a special place in the coffee world, so visiting the country in 2019 was a real highlight for Mary and John of Mahers Coffee. Their journey focused on meeting local producers, seeing harvest practices first-hand, and understanding why Ethiopian arabica is so distinctive. It was an eye-opening trip, and we’re pleased to share a glimpse of it with you..

Honduras Trip

March 2015

Landing in Honduras brought us straight into the lively streets of San Pedro Sula. Our group included coffee professionals from across the globe, each offering their own perspective on the industry. Visiting local farms gave us a fresh appreciation for the work behind every harvest. It was a chance to pick up insights we hadn’t encountered in our years in the trade.

Costa Rica Trip

February 2020

Just before Covid-19 restrictions came into effect, Frank visited Costa Rica to explore its coffee-growing regions. Although the country isn’t among the largest producers, it sets high standards for quality, innovation and sustainable farming. The dedication shown by Costa Rican growers made a clear impression throughout the trip.
